Taking the day off to work on...

Dear Loyal Readers!
Dear Loyal Readers!
Taking the day off to work on -- yes! -- that pesky book, which doesn't seem to be writing itself, for some reason.
But in the meantime, thank you for reading and writing the Bacon
blog -- especially the past few weeks. The Fennville story got a record
number of hits, and the piece on the Fab Five wasn't far behind. Today
we have over 81,000 subscribers.
Whether we agree or not, I appreciate your intelligent and civil
commentaries -- which seem to be in short supply on most sports blogs
and talk shows. It's a smart bunch we have here, and that's always fun.
Now if I could just figure out a way to make a buck on this -- I
mean, really, a buck would be a start -- it will be a perfect world.
Okay, guess the writer here isn't that smart -- but you guys are, and
that's the key!
Again, THANK YOU!
See you next week!

As a Michigan fan, I feel no obligation to seek a silver lining to the cloud over Columbus. Yet, I cannot help but wondering, the the anticipated mandated NCAA edict vacating all of Tressel's Big Ten Championships, perhaps Ohio State could petition to vacate their 41-14 loss to Florida in the National Championship game
played in 2007-- Florida, a team Michigan does not lose to even when Florida has a Heisman winning quarterback.
